Our client in the FMCG industry is urgently hiring a sales executive This position is responsible for discovering sales prospects with the aim of winning new business, negotiating deals, as well as maintaining customer satisfaction and good relationship.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
- Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
- Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
Accountabilities
- Constantly meeting of about 70% sales target
- Increasing territory client base by 60% by being actively involved in marketing and sales promotions.
- Training teams of sales personnel to handle orders and transactions, thereby increasing the company’s profits by 42%.
- Contributing to the service providing 20 new leads with a maximum estimated sales value of N1,000,000 monthly
- Establishing a standardized sales reporting system that can bring down discrepancies by 62%
Working Relationship
- Interactions and communication with other sales Associates.
- Daily direction from line manager or sales manager
- Periodic reporting and discussing minor issues with the general manager if/when requested
- Dealing with incoming goods delivery persons in the absence of the line manager
Competence/Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
- 2-3 years work experience as a Sales person.
- Proficiency in English.
- Excellent computer and Numerical skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales target.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
