We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer & Recruiter to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will provide both operational HR support and end-to-end recruitment services, ensuring that organizational staffing needs are met promptly while maintaining HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: job posting, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checks, and offer management.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop accurate job descriptions.
- Utilize various sourcing methods (online platforms, social media, referrals, agencies) to attract qualified candidates.
- Maintain candidate databases and recruitment reports.
HR Administration & Operations
- Support onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure compliance with company HR policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in contract preparation, renewals, and documentation.
- Provide general HR support including leave management, staff queries, and policy interpretation.
Employee Relations & Support
- Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries during the contract period.
- Support performance management and probation reviews where applicable.
- Contribute to HR process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 month-2 years’ experience in HR and recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, Nigerian labor laws, and recruitment processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
