I am a (versatile) SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER/DIRECTOR (TAR, Construction) with 30+ years’ experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas and Construction industries and have represented various: Multinationals, Client/Owner Operators, Government Agencies, Consultants & EPCM Contractors.

The three (3) companies includes: 1) Marathon Equatorial Guinea Production Ltd, 2) Atlantic Methanol Production Company Ltd and 3) Equatorial Guinea LNG Ltd.

Responsible for the successful management of all Refinery Turnarounds/Shutdowns, Upgrades, Revamps, Modifications, & Offsite Pipeline projects. Implementation of Planning and Execution of Turnarounds in accordance with Company, Statutory, Union, Industrial standards & procedures. Develop and implement Turnaround strategies for asset integrity assurance, achievement of strategic objectives and maximization of plant availability. Develop and implement a Turnaround strategy, 10-year Master Plan and related work processes. Develop and implement staffing strategy, for optimal use of resources. Mentor, coach, build competency and equip department with the latest industry knowledge and technology. Direct and implement fit-for-purpose Turnaround, Commissioning and Project Management control policies, procedures, audits, performance metrics, KPIs, and processes to efficiently track, control & manage all department contracts, resources and projects. Manages risk assessments to identify risk factors and ranks as of level of threat posed to turnarounds’ success to improve efficiency of turnaround planning and execution. Active member of the Refinery Management Team. Reports to the VP R&M & the Steering Committee. Lead a multidisciplinary team of 50+ fulltime professionals and 300-4000 Temporary workforce during the Turnaround execution stage. Budget Responsibility and financial authority of estimated values: OPEX-USD$25M, CAPEX-USD$25M and Non-recurrent budget-USD$100M. With focus on Goal Zero in HSE; Zero LTIs and no harm to people environment and plant.

Managing all Shutdowns/Turnarounds and the Department: Directly reports to the Head of Turnaround Nigeria LNG and the Maintenance Services Contract (MSC) Manager (OTS Wood Group/PSN & Pivot GIS Nigeria Ltd). Responsible for successful management of all Shutdowns, Modifications and Brownfield projects to assure successful delivery. With focus on goal zero in HSE; zero LTIs and no harm to the environment and plant. Ensuring all projects complies with company, industry and global standards are executed within contract requirements, cost and schedule. Also ensure compliance with Nigerian content legislation (NCD). Lead, manage and coordinate the Core Shutdown Team/Department of 40+ professionals and (200-1000) SD Temps during the Shutdown/Project phases which includes; SD Coordinators, SD Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, Supervisors, Inspectors, Mechanical Technicians, Confined Spaced Technicians, E&I Technicians, HSE Advisors, Logistics, Materials Controllers, SD Planning Engineers, Document Controllers and SD Administrative support. The Single Point of Accountability for all SDs and other department projects. Provide leadership for the Pre-commissioning, Commissioning & Start-up Teams. Develop and implement fit-for-purpose Shutdown and Project Management control policies, procedures, and processes to efficiently track, control and manage all department projects. To ensure that staff is trained, competent, certified and are up to date with latest industry knowledge and technology.
