Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift In-Charge, to lead our production operations within the Shrink Sleeve, Pouching, and Slitting departments. The primary responsibility of the Shift In-Charge is to take full ownership of the Shrink Sleeve & Pouching departments during their shift. This role is crucial for ensuring optimum productivity, process development (especially for layout development), maintaining high-quality standards, and enhancing the skills of the local production team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Shift In-Charge, you will be a hands-on leader, responsible for:
• Leading all Shrink Sleeve, Pouching, and supporting Slitting activities during your shift.
• Being the subject matter expert in the Shrink Sleeve making process and machine operation.
• Planning and coordinating production to meet targets in collaboration with the Production Manager.
• Driving department productivity and overseeing the development of layouts for sleeves and pouches.
• Ensuring machinery is used to full capacity, planning preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize disruption, and conducting cost-effective breakdown repairs.
• Enforcing company SOPs, safety norms, and regulatory systems (e.g., ISO, FFSC).
• Creating and ensuring the accuracy of all production records, MIS, statistical records, calibrations, and data analysis.
• Educating, coaching, and developing the local team to improve their skills and performance.
• Authorizing material requests, managing stock, tracking wastage, and contributing to budget preparation for material planning.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in flexible packaging, with a strong specialization in Shrink Sleeve manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of Shrink Sleeve/Pouch Making Process and machine operations.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, strong communication, high ownership, and the ability to work strategically and proactively.
