Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly provisions for minimum tax and additional PAYE.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension and NSITF.
  • Review calculations, prepare payment schedules and instructions as necessary, file monthly returns on the FIRS portal and obtain payment evidence from the bank.
  • Provide pension deduction schedules to all Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs)
  • Respond to official tax notices requesting information and clarifications.
  • Negotiate fee with external consultants regarding tax and audit issues.
  • Ensure the resolution of all pending audits.
  • Obtain employees’ annual TCC
  • Liase with tax consultants and government officials on various issues certificate on QCE, Export grant, transfer pricing
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned.

Competence & Skills Required

 

  • Degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
  • Strong background in VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, NSITF and CIT.
  • Ability to analyze business transactions and their tax implications with a deep understanding of complex tax laws.
  • Stay informed about new and evolving tax policies.
  • Familiarity with IFRS, SAP and local GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft windows

Kindly note that candidate must possess SAP knowledge.
