Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly provisions for minimum tax and additional PAYE.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension and NSITF.
- Review calculations, prepare payment schedules and instructions as necessary, file monthly returns on the FIRS portal and obtain payment evidence from the bank.
- Provide pension deduction schedules to all Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs)
- Respond to official tax notices requesting information and clarifications.
- Negotiate fee with external consultants regarding tax and audit issues.
- Ensure the resolution of all pending audits.
- Obtain employees’ annual TCC
- Liase with tax consultants and government officials on various issues certificate on QCE, Export grant, transfer pricing
- Perform other responsibilities assigned.
Competence & Skills Required
- Degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
- Strong background in VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, NSITF and CIT.
- Ability to analyze business transactions and their tax implications with a deep understanding of complex tax laws.
- Stay informed about new and evolving tax policies.
- Familiarity with IFRS, SAP and local GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft windows
Kindly note that candidate must possess SAP knowledge.
