Our client is seeking to hire a Technology Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the company remains technologically advanced, operationally efficient, and compliant. You will manage all key technologies, including vehicle tracking, security systems, credit-processing tools, and client/employee digital platforms. The role involves continuous global supplier research, managing critical technology partnerships, and recommending solutions that deliver a clear competitive advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct continuous research to identify reliable, high-quality global suppliers of Vehicle Tracking Technology, GPS units, Asset Security hardware/software, and IoT/Telematics solutions.
- Perform comparative analyses, including cost-benefit reviews and industry benchmarking.
- Evaluate supplier products for performance, durability, and compatibility with core asset finance operations.
- Present well-structured recommendations to senior management for key supplier selection.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technology-related suppliers and third-party partners.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships to ensure seamless support and collaboration.
- Oversee Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring suppliers meet all contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Credit, Collections, Tracking, etc.) to ensure technologies are fully integrated and perform as required.
- Manage vendor onboarding, renewal negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Stay current with the latest developments in Fintech, telematics systems, digital KYC, digital payments, and AI-driven analytics relevant to asset financing.
- Conduct periodic technology audits to evaluate current tools and propose enhancements.
- Advise management on the adoption, upgrade, or retirement of systems to ensure the company remains tech-driven and competitive.
- Oversee the implementation of approved new technologies, ensuring alignment with long-term strategy and customer experience goals.
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- 3–7 years in technology management, vendor management, or IT procurement, preferably in financial services, telecommunications, or mobility.
- Strong understanding of tracking devices, IoT technologies, telematics, and digital platforms.
- Excellent vendor and stakeholder management, strong research and analytical skills, project management, and the ability to evaluate technology from technical, operational, and financial perspectives.
